WHITE PLAINS OFFICE ANNOUNCES EXCITING GROWTH!

The Cuddy Law Firm is pleased to announce that our White Plains office has grown significantly since the start of 2014. We welcome four new professionals to our team:

Samantha Pownall is an associate attorney in the White Plains office. Samantha focuses on special education litigation, suspension hearings and special needs planning. She is an adjunct professor of law at New York Law School and the Relay Graduate School of Education. Before joining the Cuddy Law Firm, Samantha was an Equal Justice Works fellow and policy counsel at the New York Civil Liberties Union, where she represented students in disciplinary proceedings and helped litigate a class-action school safety case. Samantha received her J. D. from New York Law School in 2011 and is admitted to practice in New York State.

Mordecai Simha is an of-counsel attorney in the White Plains office. He focuses his practice on disability and elder law, as well as guardianship, special needs estate planning and special education litigation. Mordecai is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School and is admitted to practice in Maryland, New York and New Jersey. He is a member of the New York State and New York City bar associations.

Marna Solarsh is also an of-counsel attorney for our White Plains office. An experienced special needs and estate planning attorney, Marna is also the mother of a special needs daughter who is now an adult. Marna is active in multiple local and state organizations that serve children and adults with special needs. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Westchester Independent Living Center and Access Equestrian. She is also a member of the Westchester County Autism Advisory Committee.

Rounding out the team, Lisa Newman has joined the Firm as both a Special Education Paralegal and our Firm Development Manager. Lisa has nearly twenty years of experience in special education on both personal and professional levels. As the mother of a special needs daughter, Lisa has navigated through the EI, CPSE and CSE systems. As a Special Educator, Lisa has over a decade of experience working with students. Prior to her career in special education, Lisa was an advertising and publishing executive.
