Moving On, Cuddy Law Firm Intern Continues Career

Posted on April 12, 2015

Aaron Eddy worked in the Auburn office upon completion of college and while applying to law schools. For a year, he conducted intakes, prepared disclosures, coordinated contact with clients, and other legal assistant duties.

This past fall Aaron began law school at the University of Nebraska College of Law. Since then he has been hard at work during his first year of law school studying in order to advocate for juveniles in family law proceedings.

This summer Aaron has accepted a position as a law clerk for Legal Aid of Nebraska, a private, non-profit law firm in Lincoln, Nebraska. Aaron will assist Legal Aid attorneys by visiting children for Guardian Ad Litem interviews, attend team meetings, and draft memos. He will also conduct legal research, draft pleadings and other documents, interview clients and witnesses, assist in trial preparation, work on specific projects under attorney supervision, and observe court proceedings.

This internship will be funded by the Nebraska Public Interest Legal Fund (NPILF) through a grant. The goal of the NPILF is to promote employment in the public interest field to meet an unmet legal need.

The Cuddy Law Firm takes great pride is watching Aaron head off into the public interest legal field.
